We bought Brewster from a newspaper ad when we lived in Cleveland, OH. I took him to the vet the next day and he was in very poor health with a TON of worms. We took care of him and he has rewarded us with his “I’m the boss attitude” and “hey your suppose to be paying attention to me” neediness. He is an amazingly smart dog that keeps us on our toes. He opened our eyes to the world of dogs and our hearts have been captivated ever since. Since we got him at too young of an age he feels that he is more human than dog. Despite my attempts to create a well socialized dog out of him, he still does not want to play with anyone other than his sister, mom and dad. We have taken an agility class with him, but decided that we were trying to make him something that he is not, a socialized dog that wants to be around other dogs. We got our CGC and decided that was good enough. He currently takes up a whole cushion on our couch and he is very happy there.
